An event like Ka 'Aha Hula 'O Hālauaola
2005 World Conference on Hula is successful only because
of the many organizations, sponsors, and supporters. Mahalo
a nui loa for believing in the importance of hula and
Hawaiian culture. Mahalo also for your time, energy,
financial support and kōkua. It
is because of your assistance that our efforts to maintain
the cultural practices and traditions of the Native Hawaiian
people are able to continue.

Ka 'Aha Hula 'O Hālauaola
2005 would not have occurred except for the extraordinary
support given by Kumu Hula, hālau
hula, cultural practitioners, educators, and people who
love Hawai'i. Without the hospitality and outpouring
of aloha from the people of Maui, this conference would
not have happened. Without the tireless efforts of the
staff, volunteers, and supporters, this conference would
be but a dream. It may be a small thing to say
mahalo, but it carries all the depth of gratitude and
appreciation held within this simple word.
The knowledge and wisdom
that was shared during the conference brings strength to
the culture and continues to build the foundation for future
generations. We
will forever be indebted to our teachers who took the
time and had the patience to nurture and satisfy our
desire to know. We will forever be indebted to
our ancestors and their remarkable understanding of their
home and its people. We will forever be appreciative
to all who love Hawai'i and work continually for its
well-being.
